About project

„Roots in Europe, culture in heart!”

is Youth Exchange programme. During this project, 40 active students from 5 different countries (Latvia, Malta, The Netherlands, Turkey and Finland) will join in Riga to find things and issues in culture that we have in common, discover similarities and signs of union that existed long before the European Union.

The aim of project is to make participants, as well as society aware of cultural heritage issues, and bond this closer together with their daily life.

Through the project participants will learn from each other, take part in various workshops, as well as do homework and research about their own cultural heritage and eventually present it to others.

In year 2014 Riga will be the European capital of culture therefore youth exchange participants will take part in exhibition at Esplanade park in cooperation with Riga 2014 artistic council by making a public video presentation.
