It's coming!

There are only 3 days left until the beginning of our Youth Exchange project “Roots in Europe, culture in heart!”. The main idea of this project is to explore and share culture and traditions from ancient times that are still alive in nowadays and has become a part of our lives and celebrations.

Let’s look at the things in short we have already done!

A month ago there was an advanced planning visit (APV) (24. – 26.05.2013.) when one person from each country came to Latvia to discuss details about this project. The main topics were:
  • schedule in details – about every day and regime of the day in general;
  • exhibition in details – how we will present ourselves and what we will present;
  • traditions – similar, different, etc., how to show them in interactive way;
  • other things connected with living, eating, etc. during project.

APV team

Right now thanks to financial support from EU program “Youth in Action” we can work hard, no matter when – day or night, to make this project awesome! Our FR’s are still calling companies for barter deals and they have already got many of them. Our PR’s are still making visual stuff and they have already made “Survival guide” and name tags and other. Our HR’s are making sure that each participant is kindly welcomed here in Riga. Our Main Organiser is organising everything to make this youth exchange unforgettable!

We have arranged everything connected with logistics and participants will truly enjoy accomodation and delicious food.

Yesterday (1st of July) we had our core team (+ all the people who were and still are excited to make the most of the project and wanted to join) meeting about Youth Exchange to discuss all the things we still need to do.

As you can see, during last month (well... actually a bit longer) we have been busy with sharing our ideas, making them come true, planning, calling, drawing, meeting and working hard to make our Youth Exchange the BEST.

We all can’t wait to begin this project! How about you?

See you all soon!
Your LBG Riga
